The Messenger Local Business Awards recognises and celebrates excellence in quality and service.
At a gala dinner held at the Hilton on Saturday 14th November 09 the winner of the Formal Dining category was PHORE SEASONS RESTAURANT at Semaphore.

Phore Seasons Restaurant is proud to announce that for the 3rd consecutive year it has become finalist in the 'BEST ITALIAN' category in the highly prestigious Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence 2009.

Along with this monumental achievement, Alexandra Boyt - Phore Seasons' Apprentice, Sous Chef has also reached finalist status in the 'APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR'
Category 2009.

Held annually, these prestigious awards recognise and celebrate Phore Seasons' commitment to the high standards that have become synonymous with dining out in
South Australia.

Winners will be announced at a gala event to be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre Monday 27th July.

Restaurant of Champions Bronze Medal

An elite team of South Australian Chefs have returned home from the Oceanafest Restaurant of Champions awards in Perth with a bronze medal.

The South Australian Culinary Federation team, led by Camillo Crugnale (Assaggio Ristorante) with Judyta Musolino of Semaphore’s Phore Seasons Restaurant, Namit Mangal of Port Adelaide’s Spice n Ice, Melanie Gowers (Adelaide Convention Centre), and Simon Camp (Michael O’Brien Catering) prepared a three course meal for 86 people within four hours, keenly watched by a panel of international judges from Singapore, South Africa & Hong Kong.

The SA chefs were vying for honours in a rich field of talent across Australia and Asia.

Gold went to a team from Hong Kong.

Up for the challenge are current members of the South Australian Culinary Federation & local culinary celebrities;  Judyta Musolino Phore Seasons Restaurant Semaphore & Namit Mangal Spice n Ice Port Adelaide.

Competitors from across Australia and Asia will converge on Perth from 22- 24 March to display their culinary skills.
The competition will be made up of local, interstate and international teams.

Each team will have to cook, serve and present 88 portions of a three course menu with four hours preparation time.
Judyta & Nammit, as part of a team of five, will represent South Australia in the upcoming WA Oceanafest’s Restaurant of Champions 2009, an International Culinary Competition held biannually in Perth by The Australian Culinary Federation of Western Australia. For more information visit
